Vonda is our water aerobics teacher and has been for the past 3 years! Her previous career was as a factory worker, she then became a mum and
stopped work for a little while, only to have a back operation which led her
straight into the fitness industry. She worked at Curves then officially joined us and became a Primate and here we are.

She is proud to be back in the pool and to get all of her awesome clients moving again – stronger, fitter and to have a good ol’ laugh with them all! Vonda’s favourite thing to do at a gym is a class – “I love classes!” – She attends body pump, spin and water aerobics. On the side she’s also a keen marathon runner, running 2 full marathons – 1 being on Kangaroo Island last year with a friend. She has also completed a heap of half marathons.

Her best ‘member moment’ was when an elderly lady between her late 70’s/early 80’s was very scared of getting in the water. Once she was able to overcome the fear and get in the water, within a short time she was super confidant, very comfortable, displayed great exercise technique and overall loved being in the water. How heart-warming!

Number 1 Fitness Tip? “Keep moving! Like they say, if you don’t move it, you lose it! Or at least I think that’s what they say!”

For fun, Vonda loves bike riding with the Ky Cycling Group, going for a swim and spending time with her 2 little grandsons Flynn and Edward. She also owns her own business – Kv Paws ‘n’ Claws.

Here, Vonda offers services such as walking dogs if the owner has health issues or is unable to walk their pet, feeding of pets when owners go on holidays and also animal therapy with her Maltese Shiatzu, Teddy!! Together they venture to aged care facilities, in home visits, you name it! Vonda loves doing what she does as it puts big smiles on people’s faces!
